Happy Release Day Jillian Dodd! Adore Me The Keatyn Chronicles Book 4.5

Keatyn has arrived!!  Woo Hoo!

Rating:  5 out of 5 stars

How are the story lines?
Amazing

How are the sex scenes?
saucy and spicy without the descriptive details
it's tame but heated

Would you read it again?
Absolutely!

Ah-mazing.

Ro-mantical.

Swoon-erific.

Yep I made a few of those up. But this book deserves new and fantastical words to describe it. Best of the series so far and there's still 2 more books to go.

I received an ARC of this book courtesy of the author in a contest for the Keatyn Chronicles. As a team Captain, I had the honor of participating in a huge challenge all about this series. If you haven't even started it yet. Run... don't walk - to pick up book 1 Stalk Me. You'll be as hooked as I am. I can't get enough of Keatyn and her luscious Eastbrooke boys and her back home gang. They are all swoonworthy and have such great personalities. BUT - that being said. This series is also enjoyable beyond the abs to die for. The Hottie Hangovers are great, don't get me wrong. But Keatyn. She's something special as the female MC.

I have yet to fall in love with the female lead. Usually they are whiney, weak or broken in some capacity and want the "savior hero" to come fix them and their issues. Not Keatyn. She's independent, sweet, funny, kind, confident, vulnerable and adorable. She's got a fashion sense that will knock you off your Manolo Blahniks and a personality that will make you proud that you're part of the same sex group.

Please - if you read a new series, pick this one. I promise you won't regret it.

Adore Me is romantic, funny, sad and amazing all packaged into one. You'll run the gamut of emotions while reading this Novella. It helps answer some left over questions from Love Me and keeps you guessing what's next in Hate Me. It's the right mix of brain exercise in that it will make you question everything you ever thought about MoonBoy. Are you still sure you're confident in your choice? Or is there a possibility that it's another? Oh what a tangled web she weaves.

Read it. You must.

Book Blurb:

Alistair Ingram is finally the man he wants to be, with the woman he wants to be with. No longer ruled by his manager, producer, agent or fans’ desires, he and Bethany “Black Betty” Stavars have settled into his LA mansion and have started a life together. Everything is as it should be…until he gets the call that Bethany has been brutally attacked in their home.

Alistair can barely stand to see Bethany’s bruised and battered body, but that’s not the worst of her injuries. She regains consciousness thinking she’s still married to her ex-husband—the man responsible for putting her in the hospital in the first place—and has no recollection of being with Alistair.

Unable to coax her brain into giving her any memories of the past ten years of her life, Bethany struggles to comprehend how she could’ve ended up on the other side of the country—California instead of Florida—and living with superstar actor, Alistair Ingram. Even worse, how had she become a dominatrix at a Vegas men’s’ club?

Lucky for her, the past few months have been detailed in black and white newsprint in every gossip magazine she can get her hands on.

With their relationship hanging in the balance, there’s only one thing Alistair can do. Jog her memory the best way he knows how. In bed.

Review:

Oh Alistair, how I remember you.  All of your pretty boy charm and your pretty boy good looks.  You haven't changed a bit.

I loved where this book takes you.  You get to see a softer side of Black Betty aka Bethany and it's a refreshing turn to see her be her "normal" self.  It was hard to see them go through the agony of the memory loss but you really got a feel for how much Alistair loves Bethany and how much he wants to be her one and only.  I also enjoyed the fact that even through the memory loss, Bethany could still feel the connection she has with our Pretty Boy.

I felt like this was a good easy read.  Had plenty of intrigue and plot to support it and I enjoyed seeing the changes in the relationship.  I recommend this one and look forward to seeing what Bethany does to become one person, the person she has always truly been.

Blog Tour/Enticing Journey Book Promotions: Keep Me Safe by Elaine Breson

"Thank you,” I whispered. “It means everything to me that you’re staying.” “There’s no place that I’d rather be. Thank you for trusting me enough to tell me what you did. That took a lot of courage.” I tilted my head to the side so I could barely see him. “Not really, courage would’ve been leaving him the first time he hit me. As stupid as it sounds, I thought I could change him if I just loved him enough.” He sat up quickly and looked down at me, causing me to roll onto my back. “Don’t say that. Any woman with enough guts to leave a man like that has a lot of courage as far as I’m concerned.” I smiled slightly and he kissed the top of my bare shoulder. “Thank you Parker…for everything. I know I told you I have a lot of issues to work through and now that you’ve seen some of them, you still haven’t run towards the door. That means more to me than you’ll ever know.”

Blog Tour: I love Indie Books - Michelle A Valentine Rock the Beat

Rating:  4.5 Stars out of 5

How is the story line?
Amazingly different than the rest of the series

How are the Love Scenes?
Hot and steamy with a little sensuality

Would you read it again?
Yes, most definitely

It's no secret that I love Noel.

I've never been one to stop loving my Noel Falcon and professing all my love for Noel Falcon all over this Universe.  But I have to say that Michelle's characters get better with each book.  Noel is still amazing and if you haven't read the first book of this series, then what the f*ck are you waiting for?

Riff was fantastic.  He was hot and alpha and all sexy and forbidden.  But Trip.  Trip is a great mix of naughty and romantic all wrapped into one.  He's got the smart ass remarks down.  He's got the romantic gestures in check.  He's got the mysterious vibe going on.  He's got the whole package.

I loved Holly in this book.  She shows lots of strength and independence.  She has a good head on her shoulders and makes you like her from day one.  She's not the weak simple minded little tart that we repeatedly see in these books over and over until we wanna pull our hair out.

The amazing thing that I loved about this book is that it wasn't just about a member of Black Falcon and all the concerts that we see and how the band is on tour.  Michelle takes us on a new journey with the band showing us that Trip has a human side and has other interests besides just being the number one drummer of a number one band.

Run, don't walk to pick up this installment of the Black Falcon Series!

Teaser from the book:

“I’m Trip Douglas. It looks like you and I will be getting cozy while you show me the ins and outs of this place.”I stare down at his hand. Ugh. This is so not happening to me. Our family business is going down the freaking toilet and I have to depend on the guy who thinks with his dick to pull us out of the hole? Maybe the investor can send someone else? Anyone else! No way is some rich, old dude relying solely on Trip’s judgments of the place to make a huge financial commitment? This guy can’t be trusted with something so important. This guy can’t stick with the same woman for five minutes, let alone see such a huge business deal through.Trip wiggles his fingers at me. “Come on. They won’t bite.”Dad needs this partnership to work for the sake of the track. He told me last week how important it was for this business to get it. If it doesn’t go through, we’re in big trouble.Reluctantly, I take his hand. It’s warm and rough against my own skin and it’s hard not to think about the way he felt pressed against me last night as he gives it a couple of quick shakes. “Holly Pearson.”

Blog Tour by The Book Avenue: Beat of the Heart by Katie Ashley

Here's a teaser from this 5 Star Book by Katie Ashley
check out the bottom of this post for the buy links

AJ and Mia’s first date:

"Tell me about yourself."

Swirling the wine around in her glass, Mia shrugged. “Not much to tell.”

I arched my brows at her. “Yeah, right. Don’t make me start in with some lame-ass get to know you questions.”

She grinned. “And what would those be?”

Even though I knew it would probably irk a woman like Mia—one who was refined and cared about class and style, I leaned in on the table with my elbows. “What do you like do when you’re not mending hearts?” I asked, my tone serious like an interviewer.

“Hmm,” she murmured, closing her eyes to think. After a few seconds, she popped them open and replied, “I like PinaColadas and walks in the rain.”

It was my turn to tsk at her. “Not getting off that easy, Miss Martinelli.”

“Fine then. What I enjoy doing is probably a huge bore to you, but you asked for it.”

“Yep, hit me with it.”

“I like the usual stuff like books, movies, and TV. I like traveling. And…” A little flush filled her cheeks.

“And what?”

After a hearty gulp of wine, she replied in a low voice, “I like to knit.”

I couldn’t help laughing. “You’re shitting me.”

She narrowed her black eyes. “No, I’m not. My late grandmother taught me how to knit and crotchet.”

At her still seething anger and embarrassment, I held up my hands. “I’m sorry I found it so shocking that a smoking hot woman like yourself did something so old-school and nerdy as knit.”

She shrugged. “You asked, so I was honest.”

“You’re right, I did.” Grabbing another breadstick out of the basket, I grinned at her.  “You think you would ever make me something?”

“Hmm, like a dick cozy for those cold nights when no woman wants to put up with your bullshit?” she asked with fake sweetness.

Choking on the breadstick, I fumbled for my wine before taking a long swig. When I recovered, I couldn’t help laughing at her fiery response. “I would be honored if you would make me a dick cozy. I would wear it with pride and think fondly of you.”

“Oh you would, would you?” she asked, her lips curving upward.

“Yes, I would.” With a wink, I added, “But be sure to make it extra-large because I want it to fit.”

Mia snickered. “I’ll keep that in mind.”

Cover Reveal: Elite Invitation by Michelle A Valentine

No names.

No faces.

No identities.

That’s the rules at Elite.

Just as nineteen-year-old Carly Hutchinson’s life falls on hard times, she’s offered a job at Elite, a secret organization that provides beautiful women to wealthy men with no strings attached. With an ill mother, and a special needs little sister to look after, she’ll do whatever it takes to keep them from losing their home and keep their heads above water, even if that means auctioning off her most prized commodity—her virginity.

Doctor Gabriel Jenson is a hungry medical school student ready to play ball in the big leagues. Power, money and success drive him to accomplish things that most men would never dare go after. When Gabriel receives an invitation to join the city’s most exclusive gentleman’s club, he can’t pass up the opportunity to prove he belongs.

When Gabriel wins Carly’s virginity as the highest bidder, he can’t help to be taken with the young woman and finds himself at a crossroads. Even though both of their identities remain hidden, he can’t close the deal and take his prize. He needs her to submit for more reasons than just money. Sex alone with this woman isn’t going to be enough and he’s willing to break all the rules to claim her.

Final Cover Reveal - Rome by Jay Crownover

Synposis

Cora Lewis is a whole lot of fun, and she knows how to keep her tattooed bad boy friends in line. But all that flash and sass hide the fact that she’s never gotten over the way her first love broke her heart. Now she has a plan to make sure that never happens again: She’s only going to fall in love with someone perfect.

Rome Archer is as far from perfect as a man can be. He’s stubborn and rigid, he’s bossy and has come back from his final tour of duty fundamentally broken. Rome’s used to filling a role: big brother, doting son, super soldier; and now none of these fit anymore. Now he’s just a man trying to figure out what to do with the rest of his life while keeping the demons of war and loss at bay. He would have been glad to suffer it alone, until Cora comes sweeping into his life and becomes the only color on his bleak horizon.

Perfect isn’t in the cards for these two, but imperfect might just last forever . . .

I Love Indie Books Blog Tour: 4.5 star review for Rock My World by Michelle Valentine

*A Novella in the New York Times and USA Today best-selling Black Falcon series*
After Aubrey Jenson is wrongly dismissed from her job at Center Stage Marketing, she seeks legal advice from her father, The Judge, to see what grounds she has to get her position reinstated. Her surprise visit to her family doesn’t go as smoothly as she hopes when she brings home her new boyfriend, Zach, Black Falcon’s lead guitarist. She soon discovers that father doesn’t always know best when it comes to matters of the heart.
When Zach meets Aubrey’s family, he’s immediately faced with his deepest fear: The love he so desperately wants, he doesn’t deserve. The Judge makes no attempt to hide his disdain for Zach, and will stop at nothing to keep him away from his daughter. But an unexpected twist turns everyone’s plans upside down and no one’s world will ever be the same.
Outside forces attempting to pull them apart are strong and it’s going to take every bit of Zach and Aubrey’s love for one another to withstand the fall-out. Soon, they discover making love last is harder than finding it to begin with and sometimes you pay the ultimate price for true love.

Review:

Another amazing story from the Black Falcon series to wet my Rocker appetite.  I am by far a Noel fan.  I've expressed this and made it perfectly clear to Michelle Valentine that Noel is my #1 love from the Black Falcon boys.  But wow does Zach come in a close second.  I'm sorry.... maybe I should be calling him Riff?  I mean, I haven't gotten the "golden ticket" like lucky Aubrey.  And I didn't have to go through the trials and tribulations from the "Judge" to try and make him understand that Riff aka Zach is a good man and has my best interest at heart.  I mean - Aubrey is one lucky bitch.

This novella is a great compliment to Rock my Bed.  It gives us more of Riff and Aubrey along with some great sex and some moments of oh shit - am I going to throw my iPad? (insert your eReader of choice here)

I loved the first meeting between Aubrey's parents and Riff.  It brought me back to the days when I was bringing boys home to meet my own parents and some of the disasters that I faced.  It's funny how in life we always judge a book by its cover instead of waiting to get to know what's on the inside first.  I think that's one of the great "lessons" in this book that I took away - we can't always see the outside without having to first understand what lies within.  Not all covers are what they seem and they don't always tell the story how you assume it will be told.

I thoroughly enjoyed this additional book in the Black Falcon series and I think you will too.

***Note from author: This novella follows Riff and Aubrey's story from ROCK MY BED.***

Fading by E K Blair - Blog Tour

Rating:  4 out of 5 stars

How were the storylines?
dark, well written but lengthy at times

How is the love story?
amazing - once they fell in love

Would you read it again?
Possibly

Can a guilty conscience keep wounds from healing?

Fine arts major, Candace Parker, grew up with a mother who thinks image is everything, and her daughter’s perfection will never be good enough. About to graduate college and pursue her dreams of becoming a professional ballerina, Candace decides it’s time to let go and have a little fun. But fun is short-lived when a brutal attack leaves her completely shattered.

The memories that consume and torment Candace are starting to destroy her when she meets Ryan Campbell, a successful bar owner. He feels instantly connected and tries to show her that hope is worth fighting for. But is Ryan harboring his own demons? As walls slowly begin to chip away, the secrets that are held within start to become painful burdens.

At what point do secrets become lies?

(17+) This book contains mature subject matter that is not suitable for those under the age of 17.

Review:

Fading was the most emotional roller-coaster I have ever been on.  It was very dark and the subject matter took me to places that felt so real.  I thought that the author really captured the feeling of what it's like when something goes wrong and you are vulnerable to attack.  I could feel all the emotions that Candace was going through and how she felt like she was "fading away" from life.

Candace turns to her good friends Jase and Mark for support throughout this difficult time instead of reaching out to the girl that is supposed to be her best friend.  This part confused me.  I wasn't really sure why she felt like she couldn't tell her best friend.  Or report the attack to the authorities.  There were many things that I thought could have been done a little better but all in all it's a very good book with great story lines.
