I Love Indie Books Blog Tour: 4.5 star review for Rock My World by Michelle Valentine

*A Novella in the New York Times and USA Today best-selling Black Falcon series*
After Aubrey Jenson is wrongly dismissed from her job at Center Stage Marketing, she seeks legal advice from her father, The Judge, to see what grounds she has to get her position reinstated. Her surprise visit to her family doesn’t go as smoothly as she hopes when she brings home her new boyfriend, Zach, Black Falcon’s lead guitarist. She soon discovers that father doesn’t always know best when it comes to matters of the heart.
When Zach meets Aubrey’s family, he’s immediately faced with his deepest fear: The love he so desperately wants, he doesn’t deserve. The Judge makes no attempt to hide his disdain for Zach, and will stop at nothing to keep him away from his daughter. But an unexpected twist turns everyone’s plans upside down and no one’s world will ever be the same.
Outside forces attempting to pull them apart are strong and it’s going to take every bit of Zach and Aubrey’s love for one another to withstand the fall-out. Soon, they discover making love last is harder than finding it to begin with and sometimes you pay the ultimate price for true love.

Review:

Another amazing story from the Black Falcon series to wet my Rocker appetite.  I am by far a Noel fan.  I've expressed this and made it perfectly clear to Michelle Valentine that Noel is my #1 love from the Black Falcon boys.  But wow does Zach come in a close second.  I'm sorry.... maybe I should be calling him Riff?  I mean, I haven't gotten the "golden ticket" like lucky Aubrey.  And I didn't have to go through the trials and tribulations from the "Judge" to try and make him understand that Riff aka Zach is a good man and has my best interest at heart.  I mean - Aubrey is one lucky bitch.

This novella is a great compliment to Rock my Bed.  It gives us more of Riff and Aubrey along with some great sex and some moments of oh shit - am I going to throw my iPad? (insert your eReader of choice here)

I loved the first meeting between Aubrey's parents and Riff.  It brought me back to the days when I was bringing boys home to meet my own parents and some of the disasters that I faced.  It's funny how in life we always judge a book by its cover instead of waiting to get to know what's on the inside first.  I think that's one of the great "lessons" in this book that I took away - we can't always see the outside without having to first understand what lies within.  Not all covers are what they seem and they don't always tell the story how you assume it will be told.

I thoroughly enjoyed this additional book in the Black Falcon series and I think you will too.

***Note from author: This novella follows Riff and Aubrey's story from ROCK MY BED.***
