Lilith by Kelli Maine

Who am I?
I’m every woman’s worst nightmare.
A taker of lives.
A trainer of slaves.
You can call me Lucifer.

Luc “Lucifer” Bontrager is a nomad in Lucifer’s Legion Motorcycle Club. Traveling chapter to chapter, he brings in big money kidnapping women, training them and selling them as sex slaves. He’s heartless, brutal and all business.

And then he meets his match.

Lilith. Every man’s worst nightmare. A taker of lives. A sociopath on the run.

Inked up with satanic symbols and verses, she’s fearless and completely insane. Luc can’t train her, he sure as hell can’t sell her, and—for the first time in his life—he can’t bring himself to put a bullet in the bitch’s head either.

She’s his worst regret.

Her words and cold, calculating eyes haunt him. She’s the devil on his shoulder, reminding him of all his sins. He should’ve killed her when he had the chance, because when the unthinkable happens and Luc falls for the young, innocent girl he’s training, Lilith seeks her revenge, targeting the only girl he’s ever wanted to keep as his own.

REVIEW:

4.5 Stars

Dark and mysterious - leaves you wanting more.

This is the first installment of a serial for Kelli Maine and I for one loved it.  I said I'd never read them, but I'm slowly finding an appreciation for the serial reads.  Especially coming from those authors I know could write a phone book and still have me interested and on the edge of my seat.  It's not new information that I loved Taken.  I loved the way it was written and the way that I wasn't supposed to be okay with what happened.  This book took me on the same journey.  I didn't want to like Lucifer - but damn if I couldn't help it.

I suggest you swing by Amazon on November 11th and pick up a copy.  The only thing you'll be missing out on if you don't is a great read.

Blog Tour: On the Ropes by Christa Cervone

Rating:  4 out of 5 stars

How is the story line?
Flows easily and has good depth and content

How are the sex scenes?
Hot and erotic

Would you read it again?
Maybe

Synopsis:

A murderer’s child…A foster child…A troubled teen…Gabriel ‘The Saint’ Vega has never had an easy life. Being shuffled from one foster home to another after his father murdered his mother, he found himself in and out of trouble with the law. Never giving a damn about himself, let alone anyone else, his life was spiraling out of control; fast. Until one man and one sport changed everything.

Frankie Carbone taught Saint how to handle his anger and rejection; by fighting it out in the ring. On his way to stardom, Saint finds himself pushed into the spotlight and into the arms of more women than he can ever imagine; he’s completely content with one night stands and random sex.

Then Salem Harris comes walking into his life and changes his game plan. Saint finds himself wanting Salem in all the ways that scare him. She is off limits; taken. But that doesn’t stop Saint from going after what he wants, and he wants her.

Frankie showed Saint a new way of life with Boxing, but will Salem give him the one thing he's never known – love? Will Saint find himself fighting for the one thing he thinks he doesn't deserve or will Salem end up breaking his heart? Gabriel ‘The Saint’ Vega has had to fight for every good thing he's gotten in his life. Can he go the distance?

Review:

The lead male, Gabriel - The Saint isn't a saint by any means.  But he's a great fighter and a character you love despite wanting to hate him.  You can't hate him though.  He's had a rough life, tough childhood and all around bad deal of the cards.  But he makes the best of what he's got and even redeems himself by being a decent human being and good example for kids.  I have to say that the female character - she had to grow on me.  Salem wasn't my favorite part of the book but after awhile she managed to make me like her and that's kudos to the author for writing a decent story line.  The book flows very well and I love the erotic sex scenes - lots of fun parts.  If you're looking for vanilla love scenes, this isn't the book for you.  I have to say I was surprised to find out that this was book one of two.  Cliff hangers do disappoint me of late, but I'm invested in the story of Gabriel and it's great enough that I'll continue it.  Especially because I want to see more of the interaction between the two main characters.  I also loved the supporting characters and can't wait to see more of that in the next book.

Brandee's Book Endings Blog Tour: Wanted by You - Steph Nuss

Rating:  4 out of 5 stars

How was the storyline?
Good storyline, believable and romantic

How were the sex scenes?
steamy and hot

Would you read it again?
Probably not, but it is a great story and I
would recommend it to family and friends

Review:

Carter and Elly are charming and fun all on their own but together they make a great love story.  This book made me think back on lost loves of mine that I may still have the possibility of finding once again.  It gave meaning to the romance of second chances.  To have love even once in your life, you are said to be lucky but to have the chance to meet that person again later on when you've grown up and matured more and experienced life - that's romance.

I love the way Steph writes and the flow of the story was very consistent.  You get a great opportunity to meet the additional characters and get a good feel of what that circle is like to hang out with.  Some of the interaction reminded me of a very good episode of "Friends" with the funny jokes and banter along with the shenanigans that they seemed to pull on one another.  I hope everyone sees the compliment that was meant in that last sentence.  This book gives you a feel good notion and is an easy read for the swoonworthy seekers.  Romantic and smooth - it will take you on a joyful ride through the first meeting of the main characters all the way through a bit of angst and emotion of the second chance for love.  I'm really glad I had the opportunity to read this book and look forward to more published work from Steph Nuss.

Book Blurb:

Carter was captivated by Ellyson Evans the moment he laid eyes on her,but she was the one girl who didn’t beg for his attention. He wanted her.Ellyson vowed to never fall in love, because love can destroy you,but then she met Carter Jennings. She wanted him.Unwilling to risk their comfortable friendship, neither confessed their desires.Losing touch after college, a chance meeting reconnects them. They want each other.
But love in the city is never quite that easy.

Blog Tour: The Pairing by Katie Ashley

Rating:  4.5 out of 5 stars

A Companion Novel to The Proposition and The Proposal
After her former boyfriend left her pregnant and alone, Megan McKenzie swore off men. She spent the last eighteen months focused solely on her son, Mason, along with finishing nursing school at the top of her class. Although she’s not ready to complicate her life with a long-term relationship, a nice no-strings attached hook-up is just what she needs. At her godson, Noah’s, baptism, she finds the perfect candidate in the soft-spoken godfather, Pesh Nadeen. After all, the widower could use a good time too. But after drinking too much, the night doesn’t end the way she thought it would. Forced to leave Pesh’s house through a walk of shame, Megan hopes to never, ever see him again.

For Pesh Nadeen, the very sight of Megan sends him into an emotional tailspin. Since she reminds him too much of what he has lost, he wants to be out of her sight…at first. But the more he gets to know her, there's something about the diminutive blonde that causes his protective side to go into overdrive, and he finds himself wanting more. When Megan is assigned to work in his ER to complete her nursing clinicals, he sees it as fate, but she’s having no part of it. She only wants a physical relationship while he wants far more.

What happens next is a sexy game of cat and mouse to see who will break first or if both of them will eventually get more than they ever bargained for.

Review:

When I first heard Pesh was getting his own book, I had a lot of hesitation. I wasn't a huge fan considering I was ALL team Aidan and Pesh was part of why Emma and Aiden had some angst.

I have to say by 25% I started becoming a Pesh fan. Katie Ashley has managed to change my mind and make me fall in love with someone I felt so much animosity for in the other books.

The relationship between Megan and Pesh is enjoyable and exciting. I love Megan, she's adorable and fun. And being able to still see and enjoy Aidan and Emma as well as Noah was fantastic.

This story has all the romance, sex and every little bit of angst to keep you on your toes wondering if the happily ever after will be there. If you were like me and had your doubts about Pesh, trust in me - he is worth the read.

Blog Tour - Fighting for Irish by Gina L Maxwell

Rating 5 out of 5 Steaming Hot Stars

I would read this over and over again

The writing is always amazing from this author

Review:

To say I love Gina L Maxwell's writing would be an understatement.

I've been hooked since Seducing Cinderella. Funny how life works, I'm a huge Disney fan so the title "Seducing Cinderella" totally sucked me in but when I read the actual book - that's all it took for me to hunt down this author and start to stalk her.

Considering we've met two fantastic MMA heroes in her last two books, I had no doubt that Aiden "Irish" O'Brien would be something special.

What I didn't expect is the dark undertones of this book. The fact that two broken people could put aside their issues and truly get to know each other without judgement, expectation and fear was amazing to watch unfold. This book is outstanding despite the ugly nature of some issues from each of their pasts. There is some angst but not enough to roll your eyes at or get frustrated enough to put the book down at any point. This is a great read that you can start and want to finish in one sitting. Once again Gina delivers what I consider a "3-D" written novel that has you falling in love with not just the hero but the female lead character as well.

Great Job as always Gina! <3

Book Excerpt:

Aiden tried to recall how to manipulate his features into something resembling a nonthreatening expression. It no longer came easy to him as it once had. But covering your body in brightly colored tattoos and sporting several piercings tended to make people think twice about talking to you without the counteracting friendly smile.
So Aiden would have to fake it if he wanted to find who he was looking for. She wasn’t going to just fall into his lap without a little effort on his part.
Thankfully the bartender rescued him and made the first move. The guy held out his hand and introduced himself as Johnny Anders. Aiden grasped his hand firmly and pumped it a few times. “Irish.” When Johnny raised his brows in question, he added, “Just Irish.”
